SCARY: THE TOWER OF SILENCE (discovered 2003)

19 January, 2003 - Indian officials into deep jungle investigating several missing person reports from a nearby city. What they found was a 'tower of silence' or dahkma. Zoroastrians use these sites to dispose off bodies in open air. While sites like are not uncommon in india. Several peculiarities hints at something more unusual:

1. None of the bodies depicted in the photograph were identified. Villagers from nearby, who were initially surprised at the sheer number of corpses in the dahkma proved unable to recognize the bodies. The corpses also do not match the description of the missing people.

2. There were no animals except for maggots and flies. Zoroastrians rely on birds such as buzzards to dispose off the bodies in the beliefs hey are contributin back to earth.

3. There were no official count of the bodies. Infact, little work was accomplished on the site, this is the reason only one photograph has emerged. Officials avoided the spot not only because they felt uneasy looking at it but for the following reasons

4. The deep pot in the center of the photograph was filled with several feet of festering blood. Far more than the bodies  on the outside could not supply. The stench was so unbearable that many of the officials began to get nauseous. The expedition was ended when a villager mistakenly kicked a bone into the pit, penetrating the coagulated surface of the pool. A massive burst of has from the decomposing blood erupted from the pit, splashing those looking into it, along with the photographer.

Those caught in the explosion were immediately sent to hospital where they were quarantined for possible infection. They became delirious with fever, shouting about evil Zoroastrianism.
However, delirium turned to insanity as many began to attack hospital staff until they were all dead...yes! Dead.

Django Unchained: DiCaprio let him die on set

Django Unchained,Leonardo DiCaprio demanded that the D'artagnans actually be torn apart alive by dogs. Tarantino decided to allow it.

The actor's death was real. He died in brutal anguish and horrible pain. Tarantino later said in a groundbreaking interview with Mike Wallace of 60 minutes "it really captured the sheer evilness of DiCaprio's character and added to the authenticity of the scene".

The actor, Ato Essando, was pronounced dead on the set by DiCaprio himself but no charges has been filed as Essandoh has volunteered his own life in the contract that he has signed prior to filming.

At least Mr Essandoh died giving a powerful an realistic final performance for such an amazing movie.

The Red Rain of 2001 and 2006

Between July 25,2001 and September 23,2001, a blood red rain fell over the southern Indian state of Kerala. Downpours of redness fell from the sky to colour the land and water and stain the cloths of locals. Witnesses reported loud thunder claps preceding the rainfall flowed by entire groves of trees shedding shriveled 'burnt' leaves.

No one knew exactly what caused the red rain ,but it was hypothesized that the rain had been given the hue thanks to airborne bores from the local terrestrial algae.

However, the bloody rain returned in the summer of 2006. In 2008, two researchers, Godfrey Louis and santhoush Koumar from Mahatma Gandhi University introduced a hypothesis that got people talking: "the mysterious red color in the rain is caused by unidentified life form that does not DNA...the molecular composition of this cells are yet to be identified"

We don't know how it happened...she survived!

Nature performs many astonishing feats, yet it's a different matter altogether when we human push pass the boundaries of normal.

It was a viciously cold morning in Lengby,Minnesota. When a man discovered his 19 year old neighbor,Jim Hilliard lying in the snow. Her whole body has frozen solid from the night before, when temperatures dropped twenty-five degrees below zero. Apparently, Jim was trying desperately to reach her neighbor when her car skidded of the road. When her body was discovered she was immediately sent to a local hospital where her condition stunned the doctors.

One of the nurses said that Jean was ' so cold,it was like reaching into a freezer' and that her face was ' absolutely white, just this ashen death-look'. Jean was also seriously frost bitten and none of her limbs would bend or move. The hospital staff did everything possible yet the situation was dire. Even if Jean were to regain consciousness, he would more than likely have severe brain damage, and she was frostbitten to the extent that both legs would have to amputated.

Her family gathered in prayer, hoping for a miracle.

2hours later... Jean went into violent convulsions and regained consciousness. She was perfectly fine, mentally and physically, although a bit confused. Even the frostbite was slowly disappearing from her legs to the doctors' amazement.

She was released 49 days later without losing a single finger, and spotting only minor scars.

The innocent handprint of 1877

In the town of Jim Thorpe,Carbon county,Pennyslavania. There's an infamous legend dating back to 1877. It is the story of miner sentenced to death for conspiring with the Molly Maguires against avaricious coal barons.

During the trial and while on death row on Carbon County jail, he vehemently proclaimed his innocence.

On hanging day, before he was taken away from his cell, he rubbed his hand of the dirty floor of the cell, placed it on the wall and proclaimed "this is the hand of an innocent man!"

Innocent or not, he was hanged that morning.

To accommodate the next quest, the cell was cleaned and the hand print wa scrubbed off the wall. Strangely, however,  it reappeared.

Over the past hundred-plus years the handprint has remained on the cell wall despite repeated washing, re painting, an even been plastered over. No matter what the handprint reappears in a day or two.

The Carbon County jailhouse is now the old jail museum and offers public tours. You can actually see the ghostly hand print in cell 17, testifying to an innocence proclaimed over a century ago.

Cooper: the man behind the only unsolved hijacking in US history

A man named cooper dressed in a black suit, sunglasses and with a brief case boarded a plane -Boeing 727.

During the flight, cooper passed a note to the flight attendant. The note read " I have a bomb in my brief case, I will use it if necessary. I want you to sit next to me. You're being hijacked". Cooper then shows the note to the flight attendant and demanded $200,000 in American currency, four parachutes and a fuel truck standing by in Seattle to refuel the aircraft upon arrival. The flight landed in Seattle at 5:39pm, the cash delivered and Cooper permitted all the passengers to leave the aircraft except two pilots, one flight attendant and one flight engineer.

Cooper demanded the flight to take a south east course towards Mexico.

And the flight took off.

Cooper demanded that the crew gather in the cockpit and keep the door closed.

At approximately 8pm,a warning light came in the cockpit indicating that the plane back airstair had been opened. At approximately 10:15pm, the plane landed in Reno,Nevada.

FBI agents soon discovered that Cooper was no longer in the plane. Cooper was never to be seen or heard from again and it remains the only unsolved hijacking in US history.

The story behind climbing Mount Everest for the first time

In the SOWER'S SEEDS, Brian Cavanaugh tells the story of how Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest. On May 29,1953, he scaled the highest mountain then known to man: more than 29,000 feet above sea level. He was knighted for his efforts. He even made American Express card commercials because of it! However, until we read his book, High Adventure, we don't understand that Hillary had to grow into this success. You see, in 1952, he attempted to climb Mount Everest but failed. A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address it's members.

Edmund Hillary walked onstage to a thunderous applause. The audience was recognizing an attempt at greatness, but Hillary saw himself as a failure. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud voice,

" Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I'll beat you the next time because you've grown all you are going to grow... and I'm still growing!"

The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."

A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they drew ,occasionally walking around to see each child's artwork. As she for  to one little girl who was laboring diligently, she asked what the drawing was.

The girl replied , " I'm drawing God."

The teacher paused and said, " but no one knows what God looks like."

Without missing a beat or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied,
" They will in a minute."

Some time ago in 1899

A giant ship failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was young. He carried a large bag of tools with him and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there watching him; hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.
"What?!", the owners exclaimed. " he hardly did anything!". So they wrote the old man a note saying, " please send us an itemized bill". The man sent a bill that read
" tapping with a hammer .........$2.00
  Knowing  where to tap.....$9.998.00"

Is that all it costs to start a university? The question that established Stanford university

Over one hundred years ago a woman wearing a faded gingham dress and her husband dressed in a threadbare suit walked into the outer office of the Harvard university president. The secretary instantly decided that these backwoods had no business at Harvard. She frowned.
" we want to see the president," the man said softly.
"He'll be busy all day," the secrets snapped.
"We'll wait," the woman replied.
For hours the secretary ignored them hoping they'd become gradually discouraged and go away. They didn't. The secretary gradually grew frustrated and finally she decided to disturb the president:"maybe if you just see them for a few minutes, they'll leave," she told him. He sighed and agreed.

The president stern faced and haughty strutted toward the couple. The woman began to speak: " we had a son that attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard and was happy here. About a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him somewhere on campus.

The president wasn't touched. "Madam," he said "we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and then died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery"

"Oh no," she explained quickly. " we don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard."

The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and threadbare suit, then exclaimed: " A building! Do you have any idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the buildings at Harvard."

For a moment she was silent. The president was pleased he could get rid of them now. But she turned to her husband and said, " Is that all it costs to start a university? Why don't we start our own?" Her husband nodded and they left.

The president's face clouded in confusion and bewilderment; Mr. and  Mrs. Leland Stanford walked away and eventually travelled to Palo Alto, California, where they established the university that bears their name -a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.
